Podseeker is a podcast database for PR teams booking clients as podcast guests. This page explains what each label means, where our contacts come from, how fresh the data is, and where our booking numbers come from, so you can judge how much to rely on it.
What Each Label Means
- Active: the show published an episode in the last 2 months.
- Has guests: the show's format is interviews or outside guests, confirmed from its recent episodes.
- Booking difficulty: how selective a show is about its guests, based on who it books, rated from very low to very high. Each profile also shows the credentials its guests typically have and its recent guests, so you can tell whether your client looks like a typical guest.
- Listener estimates: Podseeker's estimate of listeners per episode, shown in ranges from under 100 to over 1 million. Use them to compare shows; they aren't the publisher's analytics, and only a show's host has exact numbers.

Where Our Contacts Come From
Podseeker's contacts come from public sources and our own research: podcast websites, social profiles, podcast feeds, and our data team.
Every podcast profile shows the show's emails with the strongest first, and named hosts, producers, and bookers, each with a role, an email, a LinkedIn profile when available, and a confidence level:
| Confidence | Usually | When to pitch them |
|---|---|---|
| Very high | A dedicated booker or talent coordinator, or the host of a small show | First |
| High | An executive or managing producer | First when there's no very-high contact |
| Medium | A general producer, or the host of a large show | When nothing higher exists |
| Low or very low | People unlikely to handle guest requests | Rarely |
When Podseeker customers ran Contact enrichment on 1,722 active shows that interview guests, it found a named person's email at medium confidence or better for 63.9% of them, and for 59.1% that email wasn't in the show's RSS feed or on its website (October 17, 2026). Customers usually enrich the hard cases, so these rates describe difficult shows rather than every podcast. More in how to contact podcast hosts.
How Fresh the Data Is
Every show's feed and episodes are checked daily, so “active” and recent episodes stay current. The deeper details, such as contacts, recent guests, and booking intelligence, are refreshed regularly, and more often for the shows our customers look at most. Topic pages are updated weekly.
How We Keep the Data Clean
- Confirmed hard-bounce rate: 2.30% (136 of 5,909 pitches sent by active, post-trial customers from May 27 to August 20, 2026, counting every address customers pitched, not only contacts Podseeker supplied).
- Available emails are checked for deliverability.
- When a Podseeker pitch hard-bounces because the mailbox doesn't exist, that address is removed from the podcast for every customer.
- Duplicate listings of the same show are removed.
- Shows whose hosts have asked not to be pitched are flagged on their profile.
Who Does the Research
Our research team works with AI to find and check contacts, guests, and show details, and people review corrections.
Where Our Booking Numbers Come From
Our booking and reply rates come from pitches Podseeker customers sent from their own mailboxes, combined across customers. No individual customer's or show's results are published. A pitch counts as booked when the conversation shows the appearance was accepted or scheduled; “interested” isn't booked.
- State of Podcast Pitching 2026: 6,546 pitches sent April 11 to August 11, 2026, with replies and bookings observed at least 60 days later. Read the report.
- Booking benchmarks: post-trial pitches from paying organizations, February 27 to June 28, 2026, outcomes assessed August 27: pitches to very high-fit podcasts (85%+ Client Fit) booked at 6.2% (55 of 894), compared with 3.3% overall (165 of 5,012). Read the methodology.
