Recommended Podcasts

Only shows that are active and interview guests

Recommendations only include podcasts that have published within the last two months and have a record of interviewing guests. Solo shows, daily news briefings, and other formats without guest interviews are left out. Each set mixes audience sizes, so a strong mid-sized show isn't buried under the long tail.

Past guests show that a podcast uses an interview format. They don't guarantee an open slot.

FAQ

Questions about podcast recommendations

What tools recommend high-fit podcasts for a specific client, executive, or author?

Podseeker's podcast recommendation tool matches shows to a client profile containing the person's expertise, background, and speaking topics. It only recommends podcasts that are active (published within the last two months) and have a record of interviewing guests. The shows come from Podseeker's full podcast database, not a marketplace that hosts have to join. PR teams can review Client Fit explanations, filter Recommendations by listener estimates and country, and prepare outreach to selected shows in the same workspace.

How is this different from podcast recommendations for listening?

These recommendations help you find shows to approach for a guest appearance. They are built around the person you represent and the conversations they can contribute to.

How is Podseeker different from a podcast guest matching marketplace?

Podseeker recommends shows from its podcast database; hosts do not need to join a matching marketplace. Your team evaluates the match and approaches the appropriate contact. A recommendation is a potential opportunity, not an invitation from the host.

How can a publicist find active podcasts that accept guest pitches?

Treat these as two checks. "Active" means the show is still publishing. "Accepts guests" needs evidence: recent episodes with outside guests, a guest form, or a booking contact. Podseeker Recommendations only include shows that pass both basic checks: they published within the last two months and have a record of interviewing guests. For wider research, use database search with the Active, Has guest, and release-recency filters. Then review recent episodes and guest history before pitching. Past guests show an interview format, not a guaranteed open slot.

How should a PR professional decide whether a podcast is a good fit for a client?

Start with the audience and the conversation, not the download number. Check whether the listeners match the people your client needs to reach. Check whether recent episodes cover topics your client can add something useful to, and whether the host interviews guests like them. Then check whether you can name a specific episode angle. Use reach as a final filter: listener figures are estimates, and a smaller, well-matched show can be worth more than a large, loosely related one. In Podseeker, the Client Fit explanation summarizes how the client's profile lines up with the show, and recent episodes let you confirm it before pitching. The host still decides whom to book.

Can I filter recommendations by audience size and country?

Yes. Use the Listeners and Location filters together or separately. Listener estimates describe listeners per episode, and location describes the podcast's primary country rather than its entire audience.

How many podcast recommendations are included?

Podseeker includes 200 Recommendations per billing period, shared across the organization. The first 10 generated for a new client and later sets of up to 25 count toward this allowance. The 400-pitch allowance is separate.

What if a recommendation isn't suitable?

Mark it as Not a fit to keep it out of your current shortlist, and restore it later if needed. You can request more recommendations within your remaining allowance; dismissing a match does not promise an immediate replacement or an allowance refund.

Can my team use Recommendations for multiple clients?

Yes. Create a separate profile for each person you represent. Recommendations use the selected client's context, while the monthly allowance is shared across your organization.

What happens after I choose a podcast?

Save it to a media list or prepare a campaign, review the available contact and personalized pitch, and send or schedule through your connected inbox. Podseeker keeps replies and follow-ups alongside the outreach.
