How You Get Paid

Payouts and tracking

Commissions accrue as your referrals pay their monthly subscription. Once your accrued balance crosses the minimum threshold, payouts run via PayPal.

You see the full picture in your dashboard: clicks tracked, signups attributed, customers still subscribed, and lifetime commission earned per customer. If a referred customer cancels, commission stops accruing from that point. We don't claw back past payouts.

For tax purposes, you'll be responsible for reporting your affiliate earnings in your own jurisdiction. We don't withhold taxes on payouts. If you're based in the US and earn more than $600 in a calendar year, we'll issue a 1099-NEC.

Bidding on "Podseeker" in Google Ads or any branded terms.
This cannibalizes our own traffic and isn't allowed.
Posting your affiliate link on coupon/discount aggregator sites.
Customers searching for Podseeker discounts deserve a real signup, not commission-driven redirects.
Self-referrals.
Signing up your own accounts through your link voids commission.
Spam, unsolicited bulk email, or buying lists to promote your link.
Hurts our deliverability reputation alongside yours.
Misrepresenting the product.
Misrepresenting the product or making claims about features that don't exist.

How much can I earn?

20% of every paying customer you refer, every month, for as long as they stay subscribed. A typical Grow plan customer at $99/month or API plan customer at $99/month generates about $20/month in commission. Refer 10 customers who stay for a year, and you're earning around $200/month in passive recurring commission from that cohort. No cap on referrals or total earnings.

When do I get paid?

Commissions accrue in your dashboard as your referrals pay their subscriptions. Once you cross the minimum payout threshold, payouts run via PayPal. You'll see exact thresholds and cadence in your affiliate dashboard.

Is the 20% commission really lifetime?

Yes. As long as the customer you referred stays subscribed and paying, you earn 20% on their monthly invoice. No 12-month cap, no expiration. If they cancel, commission stops at that point.

What happens if a referred customer upgrades or downgrades?

Commission is calculated as 20% of whatever they pay each month. If they upgrade from Launch to Grow, your commission goes up. If they downgrade, it adjusts accordingly. You always earn 20% of their actual monthly invoice.

Does the 20% commission apply to API overage charges?

No. The 20% commission applies to the base monthly subscription (SaaS plans or API plan). API overage charges are billed as separate invoices for usage above the included credits, and aren't part of the commission calculation. This keeps your earnings predictable and tied to subscription revenue you helped acquire, not usage spikes you didn't cause.

Are there any costs to joining?

No. The program is free to join. Sign up, get your link, share it where it makes sense.

Do my referrals get a discount?

Not currently. Customers signing up through your link pay standard Podseeker pricing. We've kept the program simple by focusing the incentive on the affiliate side rather than splitting it.

Can I promote both Podseeker SaaS and the API?

Yes. The affiliate program covers all paid Podseeker subscriptions: SaaS plans (Launch, Grow, Scale) and the API plan. You earn 20% recurring on whichever plan your referred customer chooses. API overage charges are billed separately and aren't part of the commission.

How long does the tracking cookie last?

90 days. If someone clicks your link and signs up within 90 days, you get the commission attribution.

What if I have an audience that overlaps with yours?

That's exactly the point. Most of our best affiliates run PR coaching programs, podcasting courses, or consulting practices where their audience is actively looking for podcast research tools. The overlap is the opportunity.

Can I run paid ads to my affiliate link?

You can run paid ads on most platforms, but you can't bid on "Podseeker" or any of our branded terms. You also can't post on coupon aggregator sites. Everything else (your own audience, social, newsletter, blog, podcast, paid social) is fair game.
